I've Got a Sweet Tooth

My sis and her bff Kendii were trying to decipher my kind of style while at a thrift shop the other day.
I still haven't gotten over that Kendii insisted that my style is "Bi*tchy".

And to prove them wrong, I wore this "sweetly patterened & sweetly colored" mini dress for work yesterday.
It was too short for work but what the heck! I got away with it anyway. Lol.

So I guess you can say I'm bi*tchy like that, eh?

Lovin' this dress' balloon sleeves and yes, it's got pockets! Must be sent from heaven.

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

This is one thing that I'm still having a hard time learning 'till now.

I was feeling lazy yesterday and wasn't in the mood to put any thought on what to wear for work. So I decided to wear one of my "lazy clothes", namely my loose black items.

But I wasn't able to stop myself from adding the pink jacket. So yeah, I was still my overdressed self despite feeling lazy.

Oh god! What is this title doing to me?!

Running on Caffeine

Did not get any decent sleep last night so I had to grab some coffee w/extra shots of espresso. I'm glad I didn't zonk out at work, and I even got to finish a lot of my deadlines.

Broke the color block in this outfit with the reds. But I would have loved to used acessories in mustard instead. I've been dying to find one!

This is my favorite skirt, which I thrifted last month. Love its silken material. But what really keeps me drawn to it is its uber cute bow belt.

100% Natural

Had coffee with my friend Karl and wore this white ensemble. It was pretty chilly last night so I added the infamous jacket on.
(Told ya it'll make lots of cameo!)

I added touches of brown to break the solid whites. Brown reminds me of natural earth colors so I went ahead and wore this feather necklace. A Christmas present from my bro. Thanks btw!

The vintage brown purse is one of my recent thrifted items. My sis and I went on an impromptu thrift shopping but were slightly dissapointed since we didn't have a lot of finds.

Black Tie Event

I am now fully recovered. And as promised, here are some photos.

Everybody at the party noticed how my sister and I were in all-black. This is perfectly normal for me, but is she turning New Yorker on me now? Ha!

Love this dress' kimono-like sleeves. Perfect for my arms which continue to grow thicker everyday. Lol.
Also tried my hand again with my newly-learned smokey eyes.

The Morning After

Just a quick post... I just woke up after all the partying last night.

An attempt at men's wear again.

Then I realized how cliche this outfit is. And NO, it is not how it looks like. Lol.

Will post what I wore during the party tomorrow. I need to go back to sleep first. Zonking out...

Sister Act

I can't believe I'm still trying to finish up with my Christmas shopping. And to think, I started uber early! *Sigh*

I just realized that I forgot to buy wrapping boxes for some gifts so my sister and I went shopping all over the city again. And no, we didn't plan to both wear purple.

Isn't my sister's "Scottish bag" cute? It's got gold hardware detailing. I think she's featuring it on her blog. Check it out at Little Tea Cup.

Mad About You

Wore the "Mad Men" pleated skirt again, this time at work. I don't know why, but there's just something about red & black together that is so romantic. Cheesy, yes?

I thought my feet needed some rest after the torture it experienced with my Christmas shopping frenzy. So I wore these wedges again.

Let's Just Be Friends

It's been so long since I last wore a T-shirt. But I wore one last night and wore it with my fitted waistcoat to keep up with being overdressed. Oh the pressure of this title!

The shirt is interesting enough with a print that says "Let's Just Be Friends". Hmmmm....
I also apologize for the crappy photos lately. I'm sans my cam so I've been using my phone cam instead.

Off to Paris

I'm always afraid I'd end up looking like a waiter everytime I wear this jumper skirt. So I added a colored scarf and avoided pairing it with white.

I guess it was a success since the guys at work thought that I looked more like I was on my way to the aiport to catch my flight for Paris. Au Revoir!

Happy BEERday!

I just realized that I started this blog exactly a month ago.

That makes today as
OVERDRESSED ME's 1st monthsary.
Yehey!!!!

For the few people who religiously check my blog, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I'm looking forward to more fashionable blogging months with you.

Special thanks to my family who has always been supportive. I even got my dad to take some of my photos.

Dying a Natural Death

Had lunch again at a Chinese resto a few days ago. I heart Chinese food! I guess it's the Asian in me.
Anyway, I wore this outfit together with my oxford shoes. I plan to wear these shoes until they die a natural death. Lol.

I've also been wearing this blue top a lot lately. It's such a great contrast to anything black. The photo doesn't do it justice.

Guilty as Charged

I once posted how I usually wear formless (baggy & lazy) black dresses as comfort clothes. They become my bestrfriend especially on days when I've been eating a lot of those extra cheese.

So yeah, that's what I've been feeling lately. How can one resist with all the Christmas cheer and feast going on?!

So I wore this while doing my final Christmas shopping yesterday. My feet definitely deserve a little TLC at a spa.

Hail the Queen B

Blair Waldorf's style is classic, preppy and always polished, even her hair is always coiffed.
I know this is not my style but I wanted to give it a shot.

I was so scared I'd end up looking like a waiter again with this outfit.
Then I realized how to avoid that from happening... by adding a pop of color.

Anyway, aside from the show's fashion, another thing that keeps me glued is the "love story" between Blair and Chuck. I just can't wait for them to finally end up together!

Mad for Mad Men

Saw a few episodes of Mad Men and it inspired me to wear this pleated skirt. Mad Men is a drama show that revolves around a fictional 1960's Madison Avenue ad agency.

Michael Kors also recently borrowed the "Mad Men" theme for his New York Fashion Week Fall 2008 collection. And even Bloomingdale's unveiled a "Mad Men-themed" window display.

This Must Be Love

Because I've been trying to beat the Christmas shopping rush, I've been out shopping for the past days and wearing heels the entire time. Now I got my sprained left ankle back. Serves me right!

So I wore my wedges on my sister's birthday. Wedges are the closest that I own to flats. These shoes add height (which I badly need), but are easier to walk in than stilettos. This T-strap pair is the 4th (and hopefully, last) of my latest purchases. I'm already officially bankrupt!

I love the details of this dress. It's got pockets and I added a cabbage rose for a pop of color.

'Tis the Season

I was gunning for a "cowgirl" look with this dress I wore last night. But I ended up looking like a walking Christmas tree, as my dad and sis commented. Oh well, at least I'm dressed according to the occasion. Lol.

I love black. But lately I've been experimenting on more colors. (This as an excuse for my Christmas-y dress. ha!) Check out its balloon sleeves. Because of the colors and busy pattern, I kept the accessories minimal.

I have been wearing this belt for the past few days. It's a recent purchase from Promod. They were on sale. It's definitely a change from my usual skinny belts.

Mortal Sin

It was pretty chilly so I wore my plaid wrap last night. The plaid was also worn to break the solid black and brown, which I hear is a mortal sin to wear together.

The platform maryjanes I wore was one of my recent purchases that I promised to post. The 4-inch heels are the highest that I've ever worn but they are surprisingly very comfortable, I swear to God!

It's a Man's World

I wear ties better than men. haha!
I tried my hand at men's wear. I just hope I did not end up looking like a waiter or something.

I've been looking for a fitted waistcoat for some time already. Got mine during my shopping escapade at Promod. Also got the tie from them which were conveniently pre-tied since I don't know how to tie one.

I'm loving how the waistcoat provides shape & form to the otherwise shapeless shirt. I plan to use the waistcoat in a lot more casual ways.

By the way, Promod (Ayala & SM Cebu) is currently on sale. I'm also lusting over their statement necklaces but stopped myself before I experience bankruptcy.
They have great customer service and you can also place your items on reservation for 3 days.

For Those Sunny Days

I went out to run some errands today... pay my bills, do some grocery, blah.

Wore this too short shirt dress that almost gave my mom & dad a heart attack. Let's just say I had a sudden desire to show off my thick thighs. Ugh!

I'm also posting a close up of one of my recently purchased shoes, as promised.

On me: thrifted shift dress, July undershirt, my sis' bag, Promod belt, booties from SM dept store
